Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to inspire and nurture children aged two or three years old. In this vital role, you will create a warm, engaging, and educational environment that promotes early childhood development, literacy, social skills, and emotional well-being. As a lead educator, you will be responsible for designing age-appropriate curricula, managing classroom activities, and fostering positive behavior. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help lay a strong foundation for each child's growth while ensuring their safety and happiness throughout their learning journey. Duties Develop and implement dynamic curriculum plans tailored to the developmental needs of 2- or 3-year-olds, incorporating elements of literacy education, math, physical education, and early intervention strategies Lead daily classroom activities that promote socialization, motor skills, language development, and early childhood education principles Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques to create a respectful and inclusive environment Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress, behavioral observations, and developmental milestones Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or aides to ensure consistent quality of care and instruction Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor each child's growth in key areas such as cognition, language, and social-emotional skills Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that complies with childcare regulations and promotes child welfare Skills Extensive knowledge of childhood development theories and best practices in early childhood education Proven experience working with children aged two or three years old in a daycare or preschool setting Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster positive behavior and engagement Expertise in curriculum development across various domains including literacy education, math, physical education, and special education needs Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and community partners Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate Montessori methods or other educational philosophies suitable for toddlers Familiarity with standardized testing procedures for early childhood assessment Experience in working with children requiring early intervention or special education services is a plus Knowledge of child welfare standards and best practices in daycare settings This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young children's lives while working in a supportive environment committed to professional growth.
