Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Valid teaching certification with Special Education endorsement Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance Proven ability to differentiate instruction and utilize a variety of teaching strategies Excellent communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with staff and families Understanding of current special education regulations and best practices
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction to students with exceptionalities, adapting lessons to fit individual learning plans Develop, write, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with multidisciplinary teams Utilize data-driven approaches to assess student progress and modify instruction as needed Foster a positive and inclusive classroom community where every student feels valued and supported Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and allied professionals to share student progress Participate in professional development and ongoing learning relevant to special education This contract position offers the chance to make a tangible difference in students' lives while working alongside dedicated education professionals.
