Full-Time, School-Year Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse learners, strong skills in differentiated instruction, and a passion for literacy development in grades K-12
Key Responsibilities:
Provide targeted instruction to students with IEPs in an inclusive and/or pull-out setting. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans in collaboration with the IEP team. Use data-driven strategies to assess student progress and adapt instruction as needed. Collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student success. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all state and federal special education regulations. Foster a positive, supportive, and respectful classroom environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's preferred). North Carolina Teaching Certification Required Experience teaching all grade levels Strong understanding of evidence-based literacy practices and multi-tiered systems of support.
