Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time opportunity is available for a dedicated Adaptive Special Education Teacher to support high school students in grades 9-12. This role involves working within an adaptive self-contained classroom setting, providing specialized instruction tailored to the unique needs of each student. The position is ideal for educators who are passionate about fostering growth and learning in a supportive, structured environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs. Deliver adaptive instruction and modify curriculum to meet student abilities. Collaborate with related service providers, families, and staff to promote student success. Monitor, assess, and document student progress regularly. Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages independence and social development.
Qualifications and Experience:
Certification in Adaptive Special Education is required. Experience teaching high school students, preferably in an adaptive self-contained classroom. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, and team members. Commitment to creating a supportive, accessible learning environment.
Location and Schedule:
This is a full-time contract position located in the Mocksville, NC area. The workweek includes 37.5 hours, aligned with the school calendar.
