Job Description

Job Summary Join our team as a Summer Care and Afterschool Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children during the summer months and after school. In this role, you will lead fun-filled activities, support children's developmental needs, and foster positive social interactions. Your energy and commitment will inspire young learners to explore, grow, and thrive in a supportive setting that emphasizes safety, creativity, and learning. Responsibilities Maintain a welcoming approach towards the children, providing a loving and nurturing environment. Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive behavior management techniques to ensure a respectful and inclusive environment. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times. Maintain clear communication with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and daily experiences. Follow all first aid protocols and be prepared to respond swiftly to medical emergencies Support children with special educational needs by adapting activities and providing individualized attention as needed. Collaborate with fellow staff to create a cohesive team environment that promotes fun, learning, and safety. Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp programs, tutoring, or youth activities is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Certification in
CPR, AED
operation, and familiarity with first aid protocols are required; ongoing training is encouraged. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively. Demonstrated ability to engage children Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and team members in a professional manner. Patience is a must! Pay:
$10.00 - $12.00 per hour
