Job Description

Teachers To Go is looking for an in-person homeschool teacher to teach all core subjects to three students 4th-8th grade (two boys & one girl, ages 8-14) at their home in Raleigh, NC 27614 Monday - Thursday from 9am-2pm . This is a wonderful opportunity for the right teacher: a "full-time position with part-time hours" and Fridays off, teaching only 3 students that pays $65,000/year + PTO vacation time similar to a public or private school (1 week in spring & fall + 2.5 months off in the summer + all major holidays). Looking for a full-time homeschool teacher who is able to teach and facilitate all core subjects from grades 4-8, who will be responsible for implementing and overseeing the homeschool curriculum for all three students. Responsibilities include teaching and guiding the children to learn from the parent-approved faith-based classical curriculum. (The older student is currently using Acellus, but the younger two are using a Christian classical curriculum from a private school.) The teacher will review homeschool topics and assignments, projects, test prep, papers and research, document instructional time, assess students, fill in any learning gaps, and react and adopt the homeschool education to each individual child. (At times, the younger two children can be taught together since they are close to the same level, but often each child will be taught separately.) The right teacher will be kind but stern, with younger energy, patient with a sense of humor, and flexible/reactive to each student's abilities. Looking for a teacher who genuinely cares about each student's development, who will be comfortable in a faith-based classical education environment. Teacher applicants should be able to teach remotely at times when the family is traveling.
