Category Schools - Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing Job Type Contract Empower students with diverse abilities by making a meaningful impact in an educational environment dedicated to accessibility and learning. A unique opportunity is available for passionate educators skilled in supporting Deaf/Hard of Hearing and Visually Impaired students. This flexible contract position is suited for individuals who thrive in collaborative school settings and are committed to student growth. Candidates may opt for a part-time assignment specializing in either DHH or TVI services, or combine both for a full-time schedule. The location is easily accessible from the Sanford, NC area.
Qualifications:
Valid state credential or certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing and/or Teacher of the Visually Impaired Experience working within K-12 special education environments Familiarity with various assistive technologies and adaptive teaching methodologies Strong collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and support staff Compassionate communicator with an ability to foster trust and rapport with diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
