This position focuses on providing dedicated support to middle and high school students with a range of needs, including those following adapted curriculum and extended content standards, particularly students with high levels of autism. You'll collaborate closely with school staff and fellow professionals to create a nurturing, effective learning experience.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Adapted Curriculum teaching license required for roles at specialized program settings. Experience or strong interest in working with middle and high school students with moderate to significant special needs. Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and differentiated instruction aligned with student abilities. Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills. Previous work in inclusive, resource, or self-contained classroom settings is a plus.

Your Responsibilities:

Provide specialized instruction to a caseload of 15-18 students ensuring their unique educational and behavioral needs are met. Design, implement, and monitor individualized teaching strategies and goals. Collaborate effectively with teaching professionals, support staff, families, and administrators. Maintain comprehensive records on student progress and regularly participate in IEP meetings. Create a safe, structured, and motivating classroom environment. This contract spans the full school year - from August 13, 2026, to June 3, 2027. You'll work Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 3:30pm, allowing for up to 40 hours each week.
