Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting young learners by providing specialized instruction in a Pre-K classroom. This contract position offers the chance to shape educational experiences for students with mild to moderate needs during the 2026-2027 school year. Enjoy a full-time schedule with set weekday hours, working alongside dedicated education professionals.
Key Qualifications:
Valid certification in Special Education, eligible for Pre-K assignments Experience working with early childhood or Pre-K students, especially those with mild to moderate exceptional needs Ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Strong collaboration and communication skills with staff and families Commitment to maintaining student privacy and adhering to compliance standards Must complete fingerprinting requirements specific to Pre-K settings
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and modify curriculum to align with students' unique needs Provide direct instruction and support for a caseload of 13 pre-K students Collect data to monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom community Work collaboratively with paraprofessionals, therapists, and other support staff Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student development and progress Document and maintain necessary records for compliance and reporting Benefits include stable, full-time hours from 7:15am to 3:15pm, Monday through Friday, within a supportive educational environment focused on student growth.
