9662836-27589 Job Description Step into a rewarding position dedicated to supporting students with special needs as a Special Education Teacher at the middle and elementary school levels. This full-time contract opportunity runs from as soon as possible through June 4, 2027. Youll be part of a dynamic school environment, fostering growth and achievement for students with a range of learning differences. Working Monday through Friday from 7:15am to 3:15pm, youll manage a diverse caseload, including a self-contained, non-severe class at the middle school and a resource role supporting elementary students in grades K-5. Your commitment and expertise will play a crucial role in helping students achieve their potential both academically and socially.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid license or certification as a Special Education Teacher Previous experience in a school setting preferred Experience with self-contained and resource classroom models Familiarity with IEP implementation and progress monitoring Strong communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and educational teams Ability to adapt teaching strategies for various learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans aligned with IEP goals Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages participation and learning Monitor and document student progress, adapting instruction as needed Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families Attend relevant meetings and provide input on student programs Employ positive behavior interventions and supports
