Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Floater Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring a seamless learning experience across multiple classrooms and age groups. Your energetic approach and versatile skills will support classroom activities, assist with curriculum implementation, and foster a nurturing environment for young learners. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your teaching expertise while making a meaningful impact on children's growth and development. Responsibilities Support various classrooms by assisting teachers with lesson planning, classroom management, and instructional delivery. Engage with children through age-appropriate activities that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional development. Adapt quickly to different classroom environments, providing consistent care and educational support for toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary students. Implement curriculum development strategies aligned with early childhood education standards and individualized learning plans. Manage behavior management techniques to create a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning. Collaborate with teachers on assessments, including standardized testing and progress monitoring, to track student development. Maintain open communication with colleagues and families to ensure children's welfare and educational needs are met effectively. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of childhood development theories, early intervention practices, and special education principles. Familiarity with Montessori methods or other educational philosophies such as literacy education or toddler care is a plus. Strong classroom management skills coupled with excellent communication skills for engaging children and collaborating with staff. Ability to adapt quickly across different classrooms while maintaining high standards of child welfare and safety. Experience in lesson planning, working with students of diverse abilities, and implementing behavior management strategies. Relevant certifications in early childhood education, childcare, or related fields are preferred.
