- Shift Details:
- + Days, 8 Hours Shift, 40 Hrs/week + 7:20am 3:30pm
- Student Population (Elem, Middle, HS): Elementary
- Special Education Teacher
- Duties & Responsibilities:
- + Develop daily and unit lesson plans and scope and sequence aligned with curriculum and state standards, integrating technology and addressing diverse student needs.
+ Maintain an engaging classroom environment, monitor student progress and behavior, and complete accurate records and reports using automated systems.
+ Provide constructive, timely feedback, encourage active participation, maintain high expectations, and communicate clearly and consistently with students.
+ Follow school district policies and procedures; communicate effectively with parents and collaborate with school staff.
+ Maintain professional conduct, reliable attendance, and participate in extracurricular activities and leadership opportunities.
+ Pursue ongoing professional development through courses, workshops, coaching, and feedback from administrators and peers.
+ Prepare lesson plans and materials for substitute teachers and ensure instruction aligns with applicable state and content standards.
+ Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Minimum Qualifications:
- + Current, valid, and unrestricted NC license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
+ EC Licensure is required
+ Minimum of 1 year related experience.
+ Additional certifications may be required.
+ Copy of current, completedPrimary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
+ Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents
