Job Description

Category Schools - Visually Impaired Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students by bringing your expertise as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired to a collaborative educational team. This contract role supports an education co-op that serves up to 15 districts, offering a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to impact a wide range of learners. With a 1.4 FTE contract for the 26/27 school year beginning on August 17th, you'll help foster independence and educational growth among students with visual impairments.
Key Qualifications:
Certified Teacher for the Visually Impaired or eligibility for certification Prior experience working with students who are visually impaired in a school setting Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with general education staff, families, and related service providers Understanding of assessment strategies and assistive technologies tailored to students with visual impairments Ability to travel between campuses within the co-op as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide individualized educational services to students with visual impairments across multiple districts Conduct assessments, develop and implement IEPs, and monitor student progress Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and provide accessibility solutions Support the use of specialized equipment and assistive technology Empower students to achieve greater independence in academic and daily life skills Offer consultation and training for staff and families to maximize student success Perks of the
