Teaching Early Childhood Education Full Job Description Position Overview:

School-Age kids rock! If that's how you feel, and you are fun, energetic and creative - then we have a job for you! We are currently looking for a School-age Summer Teacher to work in a fun and exciting environment! The summer consists of exciting themes, awesome field trips, fun adventures, Leadership classes and more!

Responsibilities:

Supervises and manages daily functions for a class of children Plans with the Director and implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule using the MHA School curriculum outlines and materials. Provides an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages creativity, exploration, and decision-making by the children Ensures that all class bulletin boards are current and provides the parents with an overview of the material taught in class Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas, and playgrounds Assists and coordinates snacks, meals, naptime, and bathroom activities Attends all required staff meetings, workshops, and/or school functions as determined by the Director Observes all rules and regulations pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children Maintains a professional personal appearance, attitude, and work behavior at all times Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. (PERFERRED) Must be able to interact appropriately with students ages 6-12 years old as well as with parents, coworkers, and management. Prior experience teaching children. Physically fit and able to lift up to 70 pounds. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Strong leadership and mentoring skills. Able to attend meetings during evenings, as needed. A keen interest in early child

Must be physically able to perform the job of a teacher of young children Must have warm, supportive attitude toward children Must be reliable Must be flexible in receiving assignments or adapting to changes in program Must be willing to accept supervision in order to improve work performance Strong professional parent communication skills Must LOVE to work with children Ability to lift at least 35lbs
