9610664-68104 Job Description Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting elementary students near Omaha, NE. This full-time role involves working across two elementary schools, with your week split evenly between both locations (0.5 FTE at each). You'll play a vital part in fostering a supportive, inclusive environment for a caseload of approximately 15-20 students. The assignment begins as soon as possible and runs through winter break, with an extension possible based on staffing needs.

Qualifications:

Valid Special Education Teacher certification appropriate for elementary-aged students Experience in special education roles, preferably in elementary settings Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and communicate effectively with staff, parents, and students Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and student needs Commitment to upholding confidentiality and supporting diverse learners

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized instruction to students with varying academic and behavioral needs Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, collaborating with school staff and families Employ evidence-based strategies and adapt curriculum materials for accessibility Track student progress, prepare reports, and participate in IEP meetings Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages growth, independence, and self-advocacy Adapt instructional approaches to meet the daily needs of students across both campuses This contract provides the chance to make meaningful connections with students and staff, while enjoying the variety of working in two supportive school environments.
