As a Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a nurturing space where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Your expertise will help shape engaging curricula, implement individualized learning plans, and support the development of each child's unique abilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead by example, mentor fellow educators, and make a lasting impact on children's lives through innovative teaching practices and compassionate care. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards that promote literacy, math skills, and overall childhood development. Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or developmental delays. Conduct assessments and utilize tools like IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) to tailor instruction for students with special needs. Manage classroom behavior through effective behavioral management strategies, fostering a positive and respectful atmosphere. Collaborate with families, therapists, and specialists such as speech therapists or behavioral health professionals to support each child's growth. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or teaching aides, providing guidance on classroom management and instructional techniques. Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, standardized testing results, and behavioral observations to inform instructional adjustments. Qualifications Proven classroom experience in early childhood education or special education settings. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and lesson planning best practices. Experience working with children who have autism, developmental disabilities, or behavioral health needs. Familiarity with IEP processes, speech therapy techniques, behavioral therapy strategies, and literacy education methods. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members. Ability to manage classroom behavior proactively while fostering an inclusive learning environment. Certification or training in early intervention, Montessori methods, preschool education or related fields is preferred.
