Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for an Elementary Paraprofessional specializing in behavioral support within an engaging school environment. The position involves working closely with students to assist in their educational and behavioral development, supporting teachers and staff to create a positive learning atmosphere. This role is contract-based, offering 35 hours per week in a dynamic and collaborative elementary setting located in Laconia, NH.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide behavioral support and assistance to elementary students, promoting positive interactions and classroom engagement. Work alongside certified teachers to implement instructional plans tailored to student needs. Monitor and encourage appropriate student behavior, helping to foster a safe and supportive classroom environment. Assist with classroom activities and individual student support to enhance learning outcomes. Communicate effectively with teaching staff and contribute to student progress reports.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Previous experience working as a paraprofessional, preferably in an elementary school setting. Demonstrated behavioral support skills and experience managing challenging student behaviors. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with educators and students. Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children's growth and development. Ability to commit to a 35-hour workweek.
