Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding role this summer as a Special Education Teacher supporting extended school year (ESY) services. Engage with students in a dynamic educational setting, offering specialized instruction and meaningful interventions over a focused four-week period. This contract assignment runs from July 6 to July 31, Monday through Thursday, from 8 am to 12 pm. Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching certification required Demonstrated previous experience working in a school-based setting Strong classroom management skills and ability to adapt instruction to diverse learning needs Collaborative approach when working with fellow staff and support personnel Excellent communication skills to engage with students, families, and teams Committed to creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs outlined in student IEPs Participate in collaborative planning with ESY staff and related service providers Assess student progress and document outcomes in alignment with program objectives Implement engaging lessons using current best practices for special education Foster a supportive, safe, and welcoming classroom for all learners Communicate clearly with families and staff regarding student goals and progress This contract assignment offers a concentrated schedule, allowing you to devote time to personal interests or other professional commitments outside of the summer session.
