Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference this summer by supporting students as a Special Education Teacher during an engaging ESY (Extended School Year) program. Collaborate with a dedicated team to help exceptional learners thrive and achieve growth over summer break. This contract position runs from July 6 to July 31, with the schedule set for Mondays through Thursdays, 8 am to 12 pm. We're seeking three qualified special education teachers who are passionate about student success and experienced within school environments.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Special Education Teacher credentials (state requirements apply) Proven experience working as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting Expertise in adapting curriculum and lesson plans for diverse learning needs Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families Ability to develop and implement IEPs effectively Flexible and resourceful approach to daily classroom challenges
Responsibilities:
Develop, adapt, and deliver individualized instruction during the summer session Foster a safe and positive learning environment tailored to each student's needs Coordinate with school administration and fellow educators for program continuity Communicate student progress and concerns with families as appropriate Maintain accurate educational records and data for assigned caseload Participate in team meetings and professional collaboration as needed This short-term contract is perfect for educators seeking rewarding summer work in a supportive school setting.
