Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Empower high school students and make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher for a contract role near Sunapee, NH. This position offers the opportunity to work in a vibrant school environment, supporting students with diverse learning needs and fostering their academic and personal growth.
Key Qualifications:
Valid special education teaching certification (NH or eligible for reciprocity) Experience working with high school students in a special education setting preferred Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Ability to adapt instruction to accommodate various learning abilities Excellent communication and collaboration skills with teachers, staff, and families Dedication to creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction to high school students according to their IEPs Assess students' skills and learning needs, tracking progress and adjusting strategies as needed Collaborate with general education teachers and other specialists to facilitate student success Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to creating and updating individualized plans Maintain accurate records of student performance and communication with parents/guardians Support students' social and emotional development, encouraging confidence and independence
