Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a real difference in the life of a student by providing personalized virtual instruction on a short-term basis. This contract opportunity is designed for an experienced Special Education Teacher to deliver one-on-one, specially designed instruction to a 5th-grade student. The district anticipates services will be needed for several weeks—potentially up to one month—while a new placement is arranged for this student. Your role will involve 2 hours weekly of direct virtual instruction, with additional indirect hours offered as needed for planning and collaboration. The schedule is highly adaptable and can be tailored to fit your availability, the student's needs, and coordination with other service providers.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Current Special Education Teaching credential Prior experience delivering virtual or remote instruction, ideally in a one-to-one format Strong knowledge of individualized education planning and specially designed instruction Compassionate communicator skilled in building relationships with students and families Ability to adapt to changing needs and demonstrate flexibility within a dynamic learning environment Comfortable using technology platforms relevant to virtual instruction
Core Responsibilities:
