As a Special Education Teacher, you'll collaborate closely with other educators and professionals to create inclusive, effective learning opportunities tailored to individual students.
Key Qualifications:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education Experience working with students who have a range of cognitive, behavioral, and physical needs Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to adapt materials and instruction for varying learning styles Dedication to fostering an encouraging and respectful classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Design and deliver personalized lessons that align with students' IEPs Assess student abilities and progress, adjusting instruction as necessary Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to advocate for students' needs Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings to review goals and progress Implement positive behavioral interventions and supports within the classroom Create a welcoming, safe space for students with diverse abilities to learn and grow This contract opportunity offers the chance to make a real difference for students and families while expanding your expertise as a Special Education professional.
