What they do
A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Required:
An active CDA credential or Associate's degree specifically in Early Childhood Education (or actively working toward one)Required:
2-3+ years of experience working specifically with toddlers or two-year-olds in a licensed early childhood setting — you know what this age group needs Solid understanding of developmentally appropriate practice for this age group Familiarity with curriculum methodologies, Tadpoles and/or SmartTeach is a plus Strong communication skills with children, families, and colleagues A calm, patient, and dependable presence in the classroom Must pass required background checks and provide professional references Schedule Monday through Friday | Shifts within our operating hours of 7:00 am- 5:45 pm
Pay:
$16.25- $17.
