Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This contract position offers the chance to collaborate with a dynamic team and help shape the success of learners who need it most.
Key Qualifications:
Valid or pending New Mexico teaching license (open to those in the process of licensure) Certification or experience as a Special Education Teacher Previous work with high behavioral needs or in a self-contained classroom preferred Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet each student's unique needs Create a structured classroom setting designed to support students with behavioral and academic challenges Collaborate closely with other educators, school staff, and families to provide comprehensive support Employ positive behavioral interventions and evidence-based teaching strategies Adapt and modify materials to ensure accessibility for all learners Maintain clear and consistent documentation on student progress and IEP goals
