Job Description

Category Schools - Educational Diagnostician Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role serving K-8 students as an Educational Diagnostician for the 26/27 school year. This full-time, contract opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students while collaborating with dedicated educational professionals. As an itinerant diagnostician, you'll support schools by providing critical assessments and guidance across a diverse caseload.
Qualifications and Experience:
Hold a valid New Mexico Educational Diagnostician PED license Previous experience as an Educational Diagnostician in a school setting is highly valued Strong knowledge of conducting educational assessments and evaluations Comfort working with students ranging from kindergarten through 8th grade Effective communicator with the ability to facilitate and participate in IEP meetings Demonstrate collaboration skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude Flexible and adaptable to work across multiple schools as an itinerant team member
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments for K-8 students Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Work closely with teachers, administrators, and support staff to identify and support student needs Provide clear, well-documented reports and recommendations to educational teams and families Support compliance with state and federal guidelines related to special education Attend IEP meetings and offer expertise to develop student-centered solutions This contract position offers the chance to gain diverse experience while working with a supportive network of professionals committed to student achievement.
