e2112-87501 Job Description Make an impact in the lives of students by providing dedicated support as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired. This rewarding, full-time contract opportunity is based near Santa Fe, NM, and welcomes travel professionals passionate about creating inclusive educational experiences. Youll work 1:1 with pediatric learners, helping them thrive academically and socially in a supportive school environment.
Key Requirements:
Bachelors degree (B.A.) is required. Must hold a current state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired. Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a 1:1 or special education setting. Strong ability to adapt curriculum and teaching methods to individual student needs. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with teachers, families, and specialists.
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver personalized instruction and facilitate learning experiences for students with visual impairments on a 1:1 basis. Develop, implement, and adjust Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in coordination with school staff and parents. Assess student progress and recommend appropriate tools, materials, and assistive technology. Foster independent skills and support inclusion in classroom and school activities. Document student progress and maintain compliance with all educational standards.
