Job Description

Category Schools - Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing Job Type Contract Make a real difference by delivering specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a vibrant school setting. This full-time contract opportunity offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00am to 3:30pm, with services provided onsite across multiple locations. The assignment runs from August 31, 2026, through June 4, 2027. You will work directly with a diverse caseload of 22 students—three of whom are completely deaf and require intensive, individualized services, while the others experience varying levels of hearing impairment and need a combination of direct instruction and consultation.

Key Qualifications:

Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Previous experience with students who are deaf, hard of hearing, or hearing impaired in an educational setting Strong understanding of specialized instructional strategies, assistive technologies, and communication methods (such as ASL) Ability to travel between school sites to provide services as needed Skilled in collaborating with classroom teachers, staff, and families to support student success Excellent organizational, time management, and documentation abilities
