  • Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Teacher to inspire and guide young learners in an engaging educational environment In our Brooklyn location.
As a Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in creating a nurturing classroom that promotes early childhood development, literacy, and social-emotional skills. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of high-quality instruction tailored to diverse learning needs, including children with developmental disabilities and those requiring specialized support. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape young minds, foster inclusive learning experiences, and collaborate with dedicated team members committed to child welfare and education excellence. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including Montessori, early childhood education, and special education frameworks. Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment for all children. Utilize learning technology and educational tools to enhance lesson delivery and student engagement. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor student progress and inform instructional adjustments. Collaborate with speech therapists, behavioral health specialists, and other professionals to support children with autism, speech therapy needs, or developmental disabilities. Facilitate communication with parents and guardians regarding child progress, IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals, and behavioral or developmental concerns. Lead activities that promote literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional learning tailored to early childhood development stages. Requirements Proven experience managing classrooms in early childhood or preschool settings with a focus on special education or inclusive classrooms. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies. Experience working with children with autism, developmental disabilities, or in early intervention programs is highly preferred. Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, IEP processes, and standardized testing procedures. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and specialists. Background in childcare or daycare environments is advantageous; Montessori or preschool experience is a plus.
