(NYTPS) is seeking bilingual and monolingual Special Education Itinerant Teachers (SEITs) to provide high-quality educational services to preschool-aged children throughout all five boroughs of New York City. SEITs provide direct 1:1 instruction to students in a variety of settings, including UPKs, preschools, daycares, and homes. We offer both full and part-time caseload opportunities with flexible scheduling options.

Schedule:
20-hour weekly case located in one school during the week Candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on student and family needs.
Requirements:
Must currently hold a New York State Special Education Teacher certification. Must have DOE fingerprinting completed to accept caseloads. Candidates cannot currently be employed by the NYC DOE (candidates who have been out of the DOE for one year or more will be considered). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to modify activities and instructional materials based on student needs, IEP goals, and assessments. Bilingual Language Extension required for bilingual cases.
For Evaluators:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience conducting preschool evaluations. Experience administering assessments such as the DAYC-2 and HELP Checklist.
Job Responsibilities:
Implement educational programs based on student assessments and IEP goals. Provide individualized instruction to support students' academic, developmental, and functional needs. Promote student independence and skill development. Maintain accurate daily progress notes and documentation. Collect and maintain data for students receiving ABA-based programming. Communicate student progress and concerns with supervisors and NYTPS staff Collaborate consistently with related service providers, parents/guardians, and classroom teachers. Participate in
CPSE/CSE
meetings and provide testimony at impartial hearings when requested. Coordinate educational goals and services with therapists, teachers, and other providers. Follow the NYTPS Code of Professional Conduct.
