We're looking for a teacher for our school. 8-9 kids as a Max group size with 3 teacher aids!
REQUIRES
Valid NYS driver's license, Master's Degree in Special Education (or Bachelor's and pursing Master's), Certification B-2 or Special Education B-21. ```Duties```
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Provide instruction in various subjects, including math, language arts, and science
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Utilize specialized techniques and strategies to support students with autism and other developmental disabilities
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to ensure the success of each student
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance ```Skills```
  • Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices
  • Experience working with children with special needs, particularly those on the autism spectrum
  • Proficiency in classroom management techniques to create a structured learning environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with parents, colleagues, and support staff
  • Knowledge of physical education activities suitable for students with special needs
  • Familiarity with the use of assistive technology to support student learning
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage IEP documentation and student records
