Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

This position is for a 9th grade Special Education English teacher. It consists of self-contained English 9 and ICT English classes. There is also 1 period of resource room. Essential Skills and/or

Experience:

Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills as well as special education experience. Preferred Skills and/or

Experiences:

Experience working with High School students, serving as a member of the Committee on Special Education (CSE), contributing to the development, review, and the implementation of

IEPs Dates of Leave:

Effective approximately November 2, 2026, to approximately February 1, 2027

Job Qualifications Required Certification:
