The ideal candidate will have:

A Master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education or related field (preferred) NYS Students with Disabilities Birth-Grade 2/All Grades Certification (preferred) Previous classroom experience working with children with special needs Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and school districts A passion for making learning fun, engaging, and impactful Your Role As a Preschool Special Education Teacher at ACDS, you'll have the unique opportunity to guide and inspire children in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing individualized instruction and fostering a positive learning atmosphere Designing and implementing lesson plans tailored to the needs of each student Leading and supporting classroom assistants to ensure a productive classroom environment Conducting data collection and writing time-sensitive reports Communicating regularly with parents and school districts to ensure the best outcomes for students Actively participating in CPSE meetings to collaborate on individualized education plans (IEPs) Why Choose ACDS?
