This role is essential in providing tailored educational experiences for children with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of childhood development and be skilled in various therapeutic approaches to support the academic and social growth of students. Duties Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs of each student. Utilize behavioral therapy techniques to promote positive behavior and emotional well-being in the classroom. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other educators to ensure a collaborative approach to learning. Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education and early intervention strategies. Provide support in speech therapy as needed, facilitating communication skills among students. Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet evolving educational needs. Create a nurturing classroom environment that fosters growth, independence, and confidence among students. Collaborate with daycare or childcare providers to ensure consistency in care and education strategies outside of school hours. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field; Master's degree preferred. Certification in Special Education is required. Experience working with children with special needs is highly desirable. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention practices. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and families. Familiarity with lesson planning techniques tailored for diverse learning styles. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
