Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by supporting a middle school student as a Home Instruction Intervention Specialist on a contract basis. This opportunity focuses on providing individualized instruction in a home-based environment, ensuring that each learning experience is tailored to the student's unique needs. This is a highly rewarding role for professionals dedicated to Special Education and focused, one-on-one teaching. What you'll bring: Valid licensure as a Special Education Teacher or Intervention Specialist Experience working with middle school students strongly preferred Knowledge of strategies for differentiated instruction within special education Strong communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and school teams Compassion, patience, and creativity in supporting diverse learners Ability to maintain organized records and follow guidelines for home instruction Key responsibilities: Deliver personalized instruction, following the student's IEP and district guidelines in a home setting Adapt teaching materials and methods to meet the academic and developmental needs of the student Maintain regular communication with school staff and family to monitor progress and address challenges Document student growth, attendance, and instructional adaptations in a timely and thorough manner Support a positive and safe learning environment focused on the student's needs Work approximately 5 hours weekly, with the potential for continued assignment This role offers the unique chance to work closely with one student in a focused, supportive setting—making each teaching hour count.
