Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a meaningful opportunity supporting young learners as a Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher for early childhood students. This contract role offers the chance to work closely with a small group of Pre-K children, creating a positive impact during a pivotal time in their educational journey. The assignment runs from August 24, 2026, through November 13, 2026, with a full-time schedule totaling 37.5 hours per week.
Essential Qualifications:
Valid certification in both Early Childhood Education and Special Education (dual licensure required) Proven experience or strong knowledge of best practices in early childhood special education settings Dedication to fostering inclusive, supportive classroom environments Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) effectively
Key Responsibilities:
Provide adaptive instruction to a caseload of 10-15 Pre-K students in a single school building Modify curriculum and facilitate engaging activities tailored to diverse learning needs Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and families to ensure comprehensive student support Document progress and maintain records in accordance with district and state guidelines Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive early childhood learning environment This assignment allows you to gain valuable experience working with an early childhood population, develop lasting professional relationships, and make a direct impact on students' lives while enjoying the consistency of a single school setting.
