Special Education Teacher in Bedford, OH BlazerJobs - 3.4 Bedford, OH Job Details Contract 14 days ago Qualifications Teaching Certification Special education for preschool students Special Education Certification Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a direct impact by supporting pre-k students as a dedicated long-term substitute Special Education Teacher. This contract role offers the opportunity to work closely with a classroom of 10-15 pre-kindergarten students, providing specialized instruction and fostering growth in an inclusive environment. The assignment extends from late August to mid-November, allowing you to shape young learners' foundational experiences throughout the fall semester.
Key Qualifications:
Active dual certification in Early Childhood Education and Special Education (required) Previous experience working with early childhood or preschool-aged children, particularly in special education settings Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Ability to create individualized supports and differentiated instruction Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with young children, families, and school staff
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of up to 15 pre-k students within one building Develop and deliver instructional activities tailored to students' needs, following IEP goals Monitor, record, and report on student progress Collaborate with general education staff and related service providers to ensure an inclusive learning environment Communicate regularly with families regarding student growth Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom community This role is ideal for someone passionate about early intervention and dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of young children.
