Duties Open the center & support classroom activities by stepping into various teaching roles as needed, ensuring continuity of instruction and care. Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, math, physical education, and overall child development. Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement strategies to create an inclusive and respectful learning environment. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong home-school connections. Assist with lesson planning, incorporating best practices in early childhood education and special education when applicable. Follow mandated reporting laws to ensure child safety and welfare at all times. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that supports active learning and adheres to health and safety standards. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in preschool or childcare settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of curriculum development, classroom management, and behavior management techniques. Familiarity with early intervention strategies, childhood development principles, and standardized testing methods. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in child welfare is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and engage parents. Experience teaching physical education, literacy education, or math to young children is advantageous.
