Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role as a full-time Intervention Specialist, supporting diverse students across various age groups in a school-based setting near Heath, OH. As part of a contract team, you'll collaborate with educators and families to create personalized education plans, making a meaningful difference throughout the 2026-2027 school year.
Requirements and Preferred Experience:
State certification or licensure as a Special Education Teacher required Experience working as an Intervention Specialist in schools is highly valued Solid understanding of IEP development and implementation Skilled in differentiating instruction to meet a range of learning needs Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration abilities Adaptability to work with changing caseloads and age groups
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction to students with varying needs in accordance with their IEPs Develop, review, and update Individualized Education Programs in compliance with state and federal regulations Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to foster an inclusive classroom environment Track student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about student achievements and areas of growth Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all reporting requirements
