Qualifications & Experience Desired:
Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate for K-12 or specified grade level Proven experience in special education classrooms, including developing and adapting Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Strong skills in differentiating instruction and utilizing evidence-based interventions Excellent communication abilities when collaborating with students, families, and fellow educators Demonstrated organizational skills, flexibility, and a genuine commitment to the success of every student Ability to implement positive behavioral supports and manage a variety of student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver engaging, individualized instruction in alignment with IEP goals and state standards Assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies and supports as needed Work closely with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure inclusion and integration of students Maintain timely and accurate documentation, including progress reports and compliance with special education laws Foster a positive, respectful classroom culture that values each student's strengths and promotes independence Communicate regularly with families, sharing progress and partnering on student support strategies Embrace a supportive and rewarding environment that values your contributions as an educator.
