A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Soliant Education is seeking licensed Intervention Specialists for multiple full-time opportunities supporting elementary and high school students during the 2026-2027 school year. Position Highlights Full-Time Onsite Multiple Openings Elementary & High School Opportunities Weekly Pay Supportive Special Education Team Responsibilities Deliver specialized instruction aligned with IEPs Collaborate with general education staff and related service providers Monitor student progress and maintain compliant documentation Participate in IEP meetings and family communication Requirements Active Ohio Intervention Specialist License Required Previous school-based experience preferred Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
Compensation:
