Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher by supporting a middle school student in a home-based setting. This contract position is designed for a dedicated professional who thrives in a one-on-one environment and is passionate about helping students reach their full potential. You'll work directly with a middle school student, providing crucial instructional support and intervention tailored to their individual needs.
Key Qualifications:
Valid and current Special Education teaching license Experience working as a Special Education Teacher, ideally with middle school students Strong background in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) Ability to collaborate effectively with families and other educational professionals Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Flexible and committed, with an understanding of home-based instructional settings
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted instruction and intervention to a middle school student in a home-based setting Work closely with families to develop and implement strategies that support student learning Maintain accurate documentation of progress and adapt instruction as needed Ensure compliance with all relevant education standards and individualized education plans Provide ongoing feedback and support to help the student achieve educational goals Collaborate with district personnel and stay current with best practices in special education
