In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment where toddlers can explore, learn, and grow. Your enthusiasm for childhood development and dedication to working with young children will inspire curiosity and foster foundational skills during these formative years. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while collaborating with a supportive team of educators. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for toddlers Foster a warm, welcoming classroom atmosphere that encourages exploration, independence, and positive interactions among children Monitor and ensure the safety of all children in your care by adhering to health and safety protocols at all times Engage children in activities that support early childhood education principles, including play-based learning, arts and crafts, storytime, and sensory experiences Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and daily activities while communicating effectively with parents or guardians about their child's development Manage classroom behavior through positive guidance strategies that promote good behavior and social skills Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to plan classroom activities, organize materials, and ensure a smooth daily routine Qualifications Prior experience working with young children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or nannying is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development milestones and best practices in early childhood education Certification in first aid and CPR Strong classroom management skills combined with patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching toddlers Ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining a positive attitude Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with children, parents, and colleagues Must be able to pass a fingerprinted background check Must be able to work 8-5, 8:30-5:30 or 9-6 with a 1 hour break Join us in shaping the future by nurturing the next generation of curious learners!
