This position involves working closely with clients to enhance their daily living skills, promote independence, and facilitate community integration. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for helping others achieve their goals. Duties Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in various settings, including home and community environments. Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), ensuring their comfort and well-being. Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors. Collect data on client progress and behaviors to inform treatment plans and adjustments as needed. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers and healthcare professionals, to develop individualized care plans. Utilize American Sign Language as needed to enhance communication with clients who are hearing impaired. Support clients in developing social skills and engaging in meaningful activities within the community. Administer medication as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Maintain accurate records of client interactions, progress, and any incidents that occur during service delivery. Experience - OR

TRAINING
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred. Background in special education or behavioral health is highly desirable. Familiarity with home & community care practices and caregiving techniques is beneficial. Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members. Ability to drive and transport clients as necessary for community outings or appointments. Experience in childcare or direct support roles is a plus. Knowledge of data collection methods related to client care is advantageous.
