Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree (B.A.) is essential Active state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired Experience working 1:1 with pediatric populations preferred Ability to develop and implement individualized instructional plans Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Commitment to fostering collaboration among students, staff, and families
Responsibilities:
Provide direct, individualized educational services to visually impaired students in a school environment Adapt curriculum, materials, and teaching strategies for accessibility and student success Conduct assessments, create and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and monitor student progress Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, occupational therapists, and school counselors Offer resources and guidance to staff and families on best practices for supporting visually impaired students
