A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Are you looking for an opportunity with a great, supportive district for the 2026/2027 school year? We need two Special Education Teachers to work southeast of Gresham, OR for 40 hours per week. We have two fantastic opportunities available. One is a learning specialist opening working with a wide range of student needs, and the other is at an elementary school working with 4th and 5th graders in a special needs academic classroom. Experience is highly preferred Will need experience writing IEP' s and working with students with special needs Special Education Teacher will be fully licensed in OR or eligible for licensure Fantastic district to work in! Qualifications:
You will need to have an appropriate Degree in Special Education and a current state license (or be eligible for same)
