Ag CTE Teacher 206-2027 SY We seek a passionate and dedicated Ag CTE Teacher to join our team. The Agricultural Career and Technical Education (CTE) Teacher - Industrial Technology delivers hands-on instruction focused on agricultural mechanics and construction, including welding, small engine repair, metal fabrication, and equipment maintenance. This role develops curriculum aligned with state CTE standards, emphasizes safety and proper tool use, and builds real-world skills through project-based learning. The teacher supports career readiness and certifications, maintains shop equipment, and collaborates with staff and community partners to prepare students for postsecondary education, apprenticeships, and careers in the agricultural and skilled trades industries.COMPENSATION
$45,359.87 to $87,503.29 a year- Full time Placement on the salary schedule will be competitive and commensurate with education, experience, and work schedule. District policy GCBA will be implemented.BENEFITS
Employer-paid insurance CAP to assist with health, dental, and vision premiums, employer-paid Basic Life and AD&D policies. Two (2) days of personal leave, ten (10) days of sick leave, seven (7) paid holidays, and a generous PERS retirement contribution (if applicable) for a full-time position. Harrisburg operates on a 4-day school week, M-TH.QUALIFICATIONS

Teaching :
You'll design and deliver engaging lessons for courses such as Construction for Agriculture, Welding for Agriculture, and Small Engine Repair. These courses will cover a range of topics and include basic agricultural principles, machine operation and maintenance, leadership skills, and environmental conservation. You'll have the ability to use a variety of facilities including a Welding Shop, a Wood Shop, a 60x60 Greenhouse, a 60x40 fenced garden, and an Ag Mechanics classroom space. You'll work closely with another Ag CTE Teacher and FFA Advisor.Curriculum Development :
You'll develop curriculum materials, lesson plans, and assessments that align with state standards and educational objectives. This involves researching current trends and best practices in agricultural education to ensure content relevance and effectiveness.Classroom Management :
Maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning is essential. You'll implement effective classroom management strategies to foster student engagement, participation, and respect for one another.Hands-on Learning :
Given the practical nature of agricultural education, you'll organize and supervise hands-on activities, laboratory experiments, and field trips to provide students with real-world experiences and reinforce theoretical concepts.Individualized Instruction :
Recognizing the diverse learning styles and abilities of students, you'll provide individualized support and enrichment opportunities to ensure all students have the opportunity to succeed.Collaboration :
You'll collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and community stakeholders to integrate agricultural education across disciplines and promote interdisciplinary learning opportunities.Professional Development :
Continuing education and professional growth are essential aspects of your role. You'll participate in professional development activities, workshops, and conferences to stay updated on advancements in agricultural education and teaching methodologies.Community Engagement :
Foster positive relationships with the local agricultural community, industry professionals, and stakeholders. This may involve organizing guest speakers, industry visits, and partnerships to enhance students' exposure to career opportunities in agriculture.Administrative Duties :
Completing administrative tasks such as grading, attendance records, and reporting student progress to parents and administrators is a fundamental aspect of your role.
