Job Description
General Position Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Maintenance Technician. As a crucial member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for assisting in the upkeep and repair of machinery, equipment, and facilities in our manufacturing plant. Attention to detail a must, able to work in a team environment. Adhere to all proper PPE requirements and guidelines. Work four (4) ten-hour shifts Monday- Thursday and overtime as required. This is a full-time position in a very stable environment. Excellent benefit package, paid holidays, 401K.Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
Preventive Maintenance:
Learn and contribute to the execution of preventive maintenance tasks, including lubricating bearings, changing filters, replacing worn-out parts, and performing regular maintenance checks as per the maintenance schedule.Machine and Equipment Maintenance:
Assist maintenance personnel in the execution of maintenance work orders to perform minor/major repairs of production machinery and equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operation.Facilities Maintenance:
Participate in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the factory premises by performing routine maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing and drywall repairs under the guidance of experienced maintenance personnel.Safety Compliance:
Comply with all safety regulations and guidelines to promote a safe working environment. Report any potential hazards or unsafe conditions to the supervisor immediately.Documentation:
Assist in maintaining accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment logs to track maintenance activities and ensure compliance with maintenance schedules.Training and Development:
Participate in training sessions to enhance technical skills and knowledge in maintenance practices and processes.Secondary Functions:
- Assist in other areas as required supporting production.
- Maintain open lines of communication between Production Staff, Supervisors with the intent to be proactive in addressing issues before they become problems.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Specific Job Skills:
- Good interpersonal communication, customer service, and time management skills essential.
- Ability to read, write and understand English required.
- Physical ability to hear, to see, to engage in repetitive motion of hands and wrists, some lateral movement of body, some bending, twisting and climbing stairs, standing/walking 94% and sitting 6% of the working day.
- Lift up to 60 pounds independently.
- Must demonstrate general math skills.
Working Conditions:
The position of Entry-Level Factory Maintenance Worker involves working in a manufacturing plant, where you may be exposed to loud noises, dust, and varying temperatures. Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Working knowledge of computers and email Basic mechanical aptitude or previous exposure to maintenance tasks will be an advantage. Welding knowledge is a plus. Strong willingness to learn and grow in the field of industrial maintenance. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and take direction from experienced maintenance personnel. Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform tasks that may involve bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods. Basic understanding of safety protocols and the ability to follow safety guidelines. Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and supervisors.Preferred Qualifications:
Vocational training or certification in industrial maintenance or a related field. Familiarity with basic hand and power tools commonly used in maintenance tasks. Construction Background Experience working in a manufacturing or factory environment.
