Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Soliant is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher for a contract position in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will support students with diverse learning needs by delivering individualized instruction and fostering an inclusive classroom environment. The ideal candidate is flexible, collaborative, and committed to helping every student achieve academic and personal success.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with Oregon Department of Education (ODE) standards and federal IDEA regulations. Provide specialized instruction and accommodations to support students with disabilities across academic, behavioral, and functional skill areas. Collect and analyze student performance data, monitor progress toward IEP goals, and maintain thorough and accurate documentation. Collaborate with families, general education teachers, and support teams to ensure inclusive practices and positive student outcomes in accordance with Oregon guidelines.
Experience:
Previous experience in schools preferred.
