Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available in Sisters, OR, for educators ready to make a meaningful impact in K-12 settings. This position offers multiple openings for candidates experienced in managing caseloads in self-contained or resource classroom environments. The role requires a passionate and dedicated professional to support students through individualized education plans (IEPs) and deliver tailored instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a full caseload of K-12 students with special education needs. Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams. Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning requirements. Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all federal and state special education regulations. Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment that promotes student growth and inclusion.
Qualifications:
Valid Oregon Special Education teaching credentials. Proven experience working within self-contained or resource classroom settings. Strong understanding of the general roles and duties of a special education teacher. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse student populations and collaborate with educational teams. Commitment to continuous professional growth, a strong work ethic, and maintaining a positive attitude.

This position is located in the vibrant community of Sisters, Oregon, providing a supportive environment for both educators and students. This is a contract position with a full-time schedule.
