Open Until Filled Salary & Benefits The salary range is $23,794•$51,549 (based on the 2026-27 SEA Certified Salary Schedule), depending on education and experience, plus a generous benefits package. About the Position In anticipation of possible vacancies, Springfield Public Schools seeks outstanding candidates for Part-Time (0.5 FTE) Elementary Learning Specialist (Elementary K-5) positions. All hiring will be contingent upon available funds. This role is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students' lives by providing specialized support that helps every learner access, engage in, and succeed within the core curriculum. Successful candidates will demonstrate: A belief that every student can and will learn A commitment to eliminating inequities in student achievement The ability to foster safe, healthy, and engaging learning environments A dedication to building an inclusive culture that values the strengths of students, staff, and community. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Experience working with elementary-aged students; Strong understanding of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) for academic and social/emotional/behavioral needs; Knowledge of and experience with Response to Instruction & Intervention (RtI) frameworks; Familiarity with Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS); Demonstrated ability to support and respond to the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds present in a K-12 school community; Strong relationship-building skills with students and the ability to establish effective classroom routines and management systems; Ability to build collaborative relationships with staff, students, and families; Experience providing individualized, explicit instruction aligned to the core curriculum; Ability to effectively manage and supervise students and their learning. Minimum Qualifications A valid Oregon teaching license (or ability to obtain one) with a
Special Education:
Generalist endorsement; Ability to successfully pass fingerprinting, criminal, Oregon Department of Education, and TSPC background checks.
